The grand patriotic event began with a three-cannon salute and then at 9 a.m. the parade, led by Grand Marshal Dr. Ann K. Snyder, started traveling through The Woodlands Town Center and Market Street.
Pre-parade entertainment and a performance by The Woodlands Concert Band started at 8 a.m. A bald eagle made a special appearance before the parade in Market Street courtesy of Last Chance Forever – The Bird of Prey Conservancy, a nonprofit dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned birds of prey. After the demonstration, the eagle participated in the parade. The appearance aligns with the 2025 parade theme, “Wings of Liberty: Celebrating the Bald Eagle”, paying tribute to our national bird and the spirit of independence it represents.
Announcers and Emcees Nick Wolda, President of Visit The Woodlands, and Ramon Torres, Local Entertainer and Musician, were located above the North Commons in Market Street and guided, commentated, and shared fun facts and information on the many fire engines, law enforcement vehicles, public officials and dignitaries, floats, marching bands, military units, and more during the event. A panel of Community Celebrity Parade Judges eyed the floats to select the best entries in ten award categories.
At the beginning of the parade in Market Street, the Presentation of Colors was by the Sons of The American Revolution, Freedom Chapter and the National Anthem was performed by Cameron Concepcion, College Park High School Alum and American Idol Gold Ticket Winner. At the end of the parade, the Presentation of Colors was by Alpha & Omega Mounted Patrol and the singing of “God Bless America” was performed by Ellie Yarbrough, Student in the Grand Oaks High School Choir.
