Conroe ISD Begins Naming Process for 3 New Schools

The Conroe ISD Board of Trustees is seeking public input for the naming of three new schools approved in the 2023 Bond election. Suggestions may be submitted through Friday, May 10.

Two elementary schools are scheduled to open in August of 2025, one in The Woodlands Feeder at 14000 Old Conroe Road, and the other serving the Oak Ridge and Caney Creek Feeders at 15895 Stonecrest Drive.

The District’s seventh comprehensive high school is scheduled to open in August of 2027 and will be located on Loop 336 next to Stockton Junior High.

High schools must be named after a geographical area. Elementary, intermediate, and junior high schools can be named after a geographical area, prominent persons or public officials who have served the District or community with distinction, persons who have gained recognition in education or the arts, national or state heroes, or persons donating land or money for the facility.
