The Chevron Championship: Moments from Round 2 of the LPGA Tournament
Day 2, Round 2 of The Chevron Championship took place today Friday, April 19 at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands.
The Chevron Championship is the first major tournament of the season for the LPGA Tour. More than 130 of the world’s best golfers are competing over four rounds on Thursday, April 18 to Sunday, April 21 for a potentially career-defining victory.

As Round 2 concluded today, LPGA Tour rookie Jin Hee Im and 21-year-old Thai star Atthaya Thitikul share the 36-hole lead (-8) at The Chevron Championship after both shot 69-67 through the first two days at The Club at Carlton Woods. Heading into the second round, the two were T5 and three strokes out of Lauren Coughlin’s first-round lead before a bogey-free day from Im and a six-birdie, one-bogey round for Thitikul put the young players on top of the leaderboard heading into Moving Day.
The Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 Nelly Korda sits one stroke back of Im and Thitikul at -7. Korda is coming off her third-straight LPGA Tour victory and fourth in consecutive starts on Tour. With a win this week, she would tie Annika Sorenstam’s and Nancy Lopez’s record for most wins in consecutive starts on the LPGA Tour.
Fans can purchase tickets to The Chevron Championship starting at $35 for grounds access for adults, kids 17 and under have free admission. For the ultimate premium hospitality experience, VIP tickets can also be purchased for access to the St. Luke’s Health Pavilion.
All spectator parking is located at the Alight Solutions building at 8770 New Trails Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77381. Shuttles to the course starting running at 6:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21.
Round 3 will take place at The Club at Carlton Woods on Saturday, April 20 and the Championship Round on Sunday, April 21, with doors opening at 7 a.m. both weekend days.
