The Woodlands YMCA announces July Kids Triathlon Winners
Race #2 in the Annual YMCA Summer Triathlon Series for Kids and Teens, Presented by Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands was held on July 20 at The Woodlands Family YMCA at Branch Crossing. 300 young athletes, ages 6 – 13, came together to Swim/Bike/Run for a CAUSE.

It Takes a Village. A special shout out and thank you to the more than 100 volunteers who came out at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning to provide race day morning support. These volunteers included YMCA Board Members, Staff, & Members, community members and volunteers from these groups: NCL Roses, NCL Texas Laurels, NCL Bluebonnets, NCL The Woodlands, NCL Magnolias, TWCA Interact, Northside Youth/Jr Tri Team, Galloway Running Club, The Woodlands Kiwanis, Klein-Collins Key Club, TWCP Key Club, and SelecTRI Training Group.
For more than 20 years, The Woodlands Family YMCA has hosted the Annual Kids Triathlon. Due to the popularity of this race and the opening of the new Aquatic Center at the Holcomb Family YMCA in South Montgomery County, the event is now a summer triathlon series providing youth, ages 6 – 15, additional opportunities to experience the exciting sport of triathlon.
Swim+Bike+Run = FUN! Triathlons are an exciting sport for children because it involves three activities that every child enjoys – swimming, cycling and running.
