The Philanthropy Market reopened and continues this afternoon with a special happy hour and time to shop from unique local and Texan boutiques and pop ups (like the Piney Rose pop up and even cold brew and coffee from Giving Grounds Coffee!). Vendors will be donating 15% of their proceeds back to Interfaith Community Clinic.
Presented by Waste Connections, the event was co-chaired by Dr. Adrienne Blessing, MD and Dr. Emily Liska, DDS. Lunch was provided by Amerigo’s Grille and included a three course meal with carrot ginger soup, Burrata steak salad, and amaretto cheesecake.
During the luncheon, attendees got to hear a patient story and learn more about the impact of the clinic on our community by Sharon Denny, RN, FNP, Interfaith Community Clinic Nurse Practitioner. Interfaith of The Woodlands President and CEO Missy Herndon the. presented the 2025 Interfaith Community Clinic Awards to the 2025 Volunteer Who Cares and 2025 Woman in Healthcare.
Proceeds from the Women Empowering Women Luncheon benefit Interfaith Community Clinic, the only charity clinic serving all of Montgomery County. The Community Clinic opened its doors in 1996 to meet the medical needs of the uninsured population. As the needs of the community have grown, so have the services offered at the clinic. Today, the clinic continues to provide quality basic medical and dental care, counseling and patient services to individuals in need. A volunteer staff of licensed physicians, nurses, medical providers, dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists, as well as translators and support personnel work together to provide patient care. Programs are provided free of charge and are funded by the generous financial support of grants, faith-based organizations, businesses, civic groups, and individuals.
