Interfaith of The Woodlands appoints new Director of Interfaith Child Development Center
Interfaith Child Development Center (ICDC) is proud to announce the appointment of Amanda Wilkinson as the new Director. With nearly two decades of dedicated service to the school, Amanda brings a deep understanding of ICDC’s mission, culture, and commitment to early childhood education.

Amanda began her journey at ICDC 19 years ago as an Afternoon Assistant in the 4’s program. Over the years, she has served in a variety of roles including working with the 3’s program and spending 14 years in the 18-month-old classroom. In 2020, she transitioned into Administration and was named Assistant Director in April 2024. She earned her Director credential in 2023.
Amanda’s leadership is driven by a passion for nurturing young minds and fostering a strong sense of community among educators and families. Her dedication to ICDC is both professional and personal—her daughter, is a proud graduate of ICDC’s Pre-K program, and her son, will soon follow in her footsteps.
“Amanda has demonstrated unwavering commitment to our students and families,” shared Missy Herndon, President & CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “Her experience, heart for education, and long-standing service to ICDC make her the perfect leader to carry our mission forward.”
As Director, Amanda aims to honor and continue the legacy of caring that was set forth with our mission nearly 50 years ago of providing a nurturing and enriching environment for young learners.
“I am incredibly honored to serve as Director of Interfaith Child Development Center,” said Amanda. “My goal is to partner with our wonderful families to make a positive impact on the lives of our young students and leave lasting memories, while instilling a love for learning!”
Please join us in congratulating Amanda Wilkinson on her well-deserved appointment.
