THE WOODLANDS TOWNSHIP BOARD OF DIRECTORS – 2025 CANDIDATE
Allan Bounds is running for The Woodlands Township Board Position 6.

1. Why do you enjoy living (and working, if applicable) in The Woodlands?
The Woodlands has created a wonderful place for my wife and I to live her and raise our family for 28 years. This community has developed an environment of safety, great schools, sharing and caring neighborhoods, excellent access to various shopping centers and a real feeling of peace for all.
George Mitchell’s vision of a destination where residential, commercial/retail and recreation exist in balance and harmony, is a reality today. As The Woodlands has recently celebrated it’s 50-year anniversary, I am very proud to call The Woodlands my home.
2. What motivates you to run for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors?
- To give back to my community for the great environment and quality of life that my family and I have experienced, in our 28 years of living in The Woodlands.
- To have a positive impact on the direction and long-term infrastructure of The Woodlands for today and tomorrow.
- To successfully represent the residents of The Woodlands and to help guide our township in maintaining, preserving, and growing the values and resources that we all share together.
3. If elected, what would your top 3 priorities as a Township Board Director be? How would you work to impact/shape the future of The Woodlands?
Turning 50, this mature and growing community requires more:
- Focus on maintaining and upgrading our existing infrastructure which also includes more aggressively addressing transportation mobility and flood mitigation controls.
- Ensuring economic and lifestyle stability for residents of The Woodlands both now and for generations to come.
- Continue the ongoing successful business recruitment, events, visitor attraction programs and activities, by balancing and prioritizing the true long-term benefits for our community.
For those areas where the Township has direct authority, I would work to impact/shape the future, as a director, by always respectively working with my fellow board members but not to withdraw from the approach that has served me well over my prior career: To Question, Validate and Act in order to serve the best interest of The Woodlands.
For those areas where we do not have direct authority and are members of other committees, groups and boards, to be a strong advocate for our residents and use our leverage as “The Township” to make our voices heard and help shape the overall outcome.
4. Would you like to share any other words or message to The Woodlands community?
I believe that we are now at a cross roads of determining the long-term direction of an independent and thriving community. Not concerned or alarmed of who controls our destiny but rather the destiny that we choose together collectively. I ask you for your vote in this election and it would be my honor to serve as The Woodlands Township Director Position 6.
