Market Street announces 2026 Change for Charity Recipients
For more than 20 years, Market Street’s Change for Charity program has given back to the local Montgomery County community. In 2026, thousands of dollars generated through Market Street’s metered parking program will benefit Community Assistance Center during the 1st quarter, The Woodlands Children’s Museum during the 2nd quarter, and Keep Us Fed Montgomery County during the 3rd quarter. During the 4th quarter, Market Street will support local public schools by donating to the school that wins The Sing-Off, scheduled for December 2026.
“Our team at Market Street is committed to continue making a meaningful impact by partnering with local nonprofits,” said John Pearson, Marketing Director at Market Street. “Since the metered parking program launched in 2018, Market Street has directed more than $350,000 through Change for Charity to organizations that support and strengthen our community.”

Community Assistance Center has been serving the Montgomery County area since 1981 and provides resources to meet basic needs and improve quality of life for residents of the county. They aim to build strong relationships with their clients and their families by assessing their individual needs during times of instability. They access community resources, establish recovery goals, and provide opportunities to learn valuable workforce skills to create a stronger foundation for their clients to support themselves and their families.
Community Assistance Center President and CEO Jennifer Huffine stated, “We are deeply honored to partner with Market Street as a Change for Charity beneficiary. Their generous support directly strengthens our ability to serve neighbors in need across Montgomery County, ensuring families have access to critical resources when they need them most.”

The Woodlands Children’s Museum has a mission to create opportunities that educate, empower, and excite children and families through play while inspiring a lifelong sense of wonder and discovery. Located on Panther Creek Drive in The Woodlands and welcoming young guests since 2001, the museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays.
“We are thrilled and honored to be selected for the Change for Charity program and appreciate Market Street’s generous support for nonprofits in our community,” stated Angela Colton, Executive Director of The Woodlands Children’s Museum. “Funding will be a tremendous help as we gear up for our busy summer season and create magical activities for children and families.”

Keep Us Fed Montgomery County has a mission to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste by rescuing and redistributing excess nutritional food for neighbors in need. 40% of food is wasted in the United States, yet more than 16% of people face food insecurity. Keep Us Fed aims to bridge the gap between excess and need in Montgomery County by making healthy food available.
David Blocker, President of the Board of Director for Keep Us Fed Montgomery County, shared, “We are grateful to Market Street for selecting Keep Us Fed Montgomery County as a Change for Charity recipient. This support allows us to live our mission to feed people, not landfills, while serving neighbors across our community.”
