HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe marks Easter in the NICU with meaningful moments for families

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) brought a little extra joy to families this Easter season by dressing NICU babies in festive outfits and sharing the celebration with parents during their hospital stay.

The Easter-themed moment was created by the NICU team as a simple way to recognize families, support bonding and bring encouragement during what can be an emotional time.

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is home to a 22-bed Level II NICU, which provides intermediate care for infants born greater than 28 weeks gestational age or newborns who need close monitoring and specialized support after delivery.

A Level II NICU helps meet important needs for the community by caring for many premature and ill newborns closer to home, reducing the need for families to travel outside Montgomery County for care when a higher level NICU is not required. For families, that can mean more time at the bedside, fewer disruptions and more support as their baby grows stronger.
