ReadyWoodlands Emergency Preparedness Event teaches community how to stay safe for emergencies
The ReadyWoodlands Emergency Preparedness Event, a free, family-friendly experience that made safety skills fun and easy to learn, was held on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Woodlands Township Townhall located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.

The free community event helped equip families with the tools and confidence needed to stay safe before, during and after emergencies. Attendees gained practical knowledge on preparing for hurricanes and other potential situations, and connected with local organizations and agencies that provide critical resources and support.
Throughout the event, guests participated in interactive workshops featuring essential, life-saving skills such as CPR, proper fire extinguisher use and other important safety practices. Informative presentations were offered, including sessions led by presenting sponsor CenterPoint Energy, highlighting utility preparedness and power restoration processes following major events.
