Texas Children’s The Woodlands welcomes EfTA Students for Immersive Healthcare Career Exploration
Texas Children’s The Woodlands was honored to welcome students from Education for Tomorrow Alliance (EFTA) this week for an engaging and educational experience designed to introduce them to the many career opportunities available in healthcare.
During their visit, students received a behind-the-scenes tour of Texas Children’s The Woodlands, gaining valuable insight into how a hospital operates and how multidisciplinary teams collaborate to provide exceptional care for patients and families.
The students also participated in a panel discussion featuring hospital leaders, physicians, and clinical support professionals. Panelists shared their personal career journeys, discussed their roles and responsibilities, and provided guidance on the educational pathways and experiences that led them to careers in healthcare. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the many clinical and non-clinical professions that play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care.
The visit reflects Texas Children’s The Woodlands’ ongoing commitment to community engagement and workforce development by creating meaningful educational experiences that encourage students to pursue careers in medicine, nursing, allied health, healthcare administration, and other healthcare professions.
