$3.2 million in illegal pharmaceuticals seized
Today Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announced that $3.2 million in illegal pharmaceuticals were seized.
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Montgomery County Pct. 1 Constable, Department of Public Safety (DPS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) arrested 54-year-old Charles Hayes of Spring, TX in the 1600 block of Calmar Dr. After an extensive narcotics investigation, Task Force members executed a search warrant which yielded 538,610 illegal pharmaceutical pills with a street value of approximately 3.2 million dollars and 3 firearms. Task force members intercepted this large quantity of narcotics as part of an investigation into the illegal import of prescription narcotics by transnational criminal organizations. Hayes was charged with the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Because of their efforts, dangerous drugs have been removed from our streets, lives have been safeguarded, and those who profit from harming our neighborhoods will be held accountable.”
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Team consists of multiple local, state, and federal partners as part of a High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA)/Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) initiative.
