Guests will have the opportunity to meet Ariel, the beloved mermaid princess, and take DIY photos with her at 10:30a.m., 11:30a.m., 12:30p.m., and 1:30p.m. For those with a more roguish spirit, a seasoned pirate will be on-hand for photos and greetings at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.

The museum’s education staff will lead two engaging story sessions. At 11:00a.m., families can enjoy “The Mermaid with No Tail,” an inspiring narrative by Jessica Long about a resilient mermaid who triumphs over adversity. The story champions perseverance and the importance of supportive relationships. The fun continues at 1:00p.m. with “Shiver Me Letters: A Pirate ABC” by June Sobel, a witty and adventurous tale that makes learning the alphabet a thrilling expedition.

Children are also invited to create a mixed-media mermaid art project in The Muse Art Bar and enjoy complimentary Coastal Cotton Candy and Pirate Popcorn upon exiting. Don’t miss this chance to shell-ebrate and dive into a world of fantasy and discovery.

Guests are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets for this popular event at www.woodlandschildrensmuseum.org. Tickets are $9 for guests over one year old and museum members are free. Pirate ‘n Mermaid Day activities are included with the price of admission.
