Alcantaria was sentenced on March 17, 2026, in the 435th District Court by Judge Patty McGinnis. He received 30 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for each count of Aggravated Assault of a Public Servant and 10 years for Online Solicitation of a Minor, with all sentences to run concurrently.

The case originated from an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force operation conducted on July 24, 2025. During the operation, Detective Pamela Serratt, working undercover as a 14-year-old girl on a social media platform, was contacted by Alcantaria. Over the course of approximately 24 hours, he engaged in explicit sexual communications and arranged to meet an individual he believed to be a minor in New Caney, Montgomery County.

On July 25, 2025, Alcantaria arrived at the designated meeting location, an apartment complex in New Caney, where law enforcement moved in to take him into custody. As officers approached, Alcantaria drove directly at a detective before fleeing the scene and initiating a high-speed pursuit. What followed was a 68-mile, multi-county pursuit spanning Montgomery, Liberty, and San Jacinto counties. Alcantaria reached speeds of approximately 120 miles per hour, ran multiple red lights, and drove through crowded parking areas, placing both officers and the public at extreme risk.

During the pursuit, Sergeant N. Lewis with the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office sustained injuries requiring medical treatment when spike strip equipment became entangled as he attempted to stop the fleeing vehicle.

The pursuit ended on a dead-end road in Shepherd, where Alcantaria exited his vehicle and fired multiple rounds at a Liberty County Sheriff’s Deputy and a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper before fleeing into a wooded area. He was later located by drone approximately 200 feet into the tree line. Following K9 announcements, Alcantaria surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.

A handgun and magazine were recovered from the wooded area. A rifle was later recovered from a residence associated with Alcantaria.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Prosecutor Chris Seufert of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. While the case involved an undercover operation and no actual minor victim, the conduct demonstrated both the intent to exploit a child and a willingness to engage in extreme violence to evade arrest. This case highlights the significant risks faced by law enforcement officers during ICAC operations and the serious threat posed to the public when offenders attempt to flee and escalate to violence.
