Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center hosts Valentine’s Day Tea for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers
At Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, volunteers came together to host the 7th Annual Valentine’s Day Tea for guests who are currently battling cancer, cancer survivors, and caregivers on February 14, 2025.
Ladies came to the event dressed in High Tea fashion (hats were encouraged!) and walked into the transformed space complete with a Valentine’s Day tree, beautiful furnishings, and decor for the occasion. Guests enjoyed a proper English tea complete with amuse-bouche, hors d’oeuvres, pastries and delights made by the talented chefs at Memorial Hermann while listening to a beautiful piano performance by 7th-grade student Ethan Tran Debolt. Cancer survivors had the opportunity to sign up for one of two settings – at 10 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. – at no cost, just like every other program, class, and offering at Canopy.
Marcella Herrera, Program Manager of Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center, thanked Canopy Volunteers and Staff, Memorial Hermann chefs, and Junior League of The Woodlands for their support and hard work in making the event possible. The event was a special time for cancer patients and survivors to come together, share their stories, and support each other during their battle and survivorship.
