Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center’s annual art exhibition was a heartfelt celebration of love, strength, and resilience. Canopy Expressions featured inspiring works created by courageous cancer survivors and their loved ones through four programs: the Healing Art Program, led by Olimpia Petzold; Creative Reflections, led by Rowena Hayes; Sketching for the Soul, led by Barbara Daly; and Wonders & Worries Art Projects, led by Danielle Coleman and Jordyn Doerre.

Throughout the year, participants engaged in creative experiences designed to help them express emotions, discover hope, and connect with others who share similar journeys.

Regardless of previous artistic experience, participants have poured their emotions, hopes, and personal stories into their creations. Each piece reflects courage, resilience, and healing—a visual narrative of life during and beyond the cancer journey.

Featured Programs included:

  • Healing Art Program – Offers adult cancer survivors a space for emotional expression, self-discovery, and resilience through art.
  • Creative Reflections – Invites adult cancer survivors to explore the connection between words and art, transforming language into meaningful visual expression.
  • Sketching for the Soul – Teaches the fundamentals of drawing while encouraging self-connection, mindfulness, and creative expression.
  • Wonders & Worries Art Projects – Provides children whose parents have cancer with opportunities to express their feelings, develop understanding, and strengthen communication through creativity.

Guests also had the opportunity to enjoy an immersive art experience in the back room, featuring a special video celebrating 10 years of Healing Art.
