Public works is the thread that connects us all, no matter where we live in the world. Every public works professional strives to improve the quality of life for the community they serve, leading to healthier, happier communities.

In appreciation of the vital work done by our public works professionals, the Mayor and City Council issued a proclamation on Tuesday, May 23rd recognizing National Public Works Week.

The City of Conroe Public Works Department contributes to the safety and smooth functioning of our community every day. They maintain our roadways, ensure the highest quality and safety of our drinking water, oversee construction projects, and are always prepared to address street, water, and sewer related emergencies at a moment’s notice. They are what makes our community such a great place to live, work, and visit. Join us in celebrating the quiet work these professionals do that makes life better for all of us and thank them for their dedication and service.

“This week is an opportunity to recognize the critical work done by public works professionals in our community who work to build and maintain the infrastructure that supports our daily lives,” the Mayor said. “We thank them for their dedication and service, and the important role they play in making Conroe a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
