City Place celebrates February with Valentine’s Romance, Go Texan Day Fun & Family Favorites
This February, north Houston’s City Place invites the community to celebrate love, wellness, and Lone Star spirit with a full month of engaging programming. From a romantic Valentine’s weekend staycation and flower-filled dining experience to family-friendly activities, Go Texan Day festivities, and energizing fitness and self-care offerings, City Place delivers something for every age and interest—all set against the vibrant backdrop of The Plaza.
All programming takes place on and around 1250 Lake Plaza Drive and is complimentary unless otherwise noted.

Friday, February 13 & Saturday, February 14 – Hello Love Staycation Package
Treat your sweet with a night of luxury this Valentine’s weekend. Saturday, February 14 | dinner service – Love Is in Bloom at SwitchHouse
This Valentine’s Day, dinner at SwitchHouse comes with more than delicious fare and craft cocktails. Guests can choose between thoughtfully curated à la carte offerings or a special prix fixe menu for the evening. Saturday, February 14 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Young Audiences of Houston: Make A Valentine’s Book
In this hands-on educational workshop, young participants will explore the basics of bookmaking while celebrating Valentine’s Day through art and design. Using Valentine’s-inspired colors and motifs, participants will learn simple binding techniques and design skills as they construct their own customized journals. This program encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression, and each participant will leave with a handmade journal to use for writing, drawing, or whatever their creative heart desires.
Friday, February 27 | Noon – 2 p.m. – Lunchtime Goes Lone Star Go Texan Day
City Place celebrates Go Texan Day with a lively activation that brings Texas tradition to life. The complimentary experience features hands-on roping skills training led by local experts, beginner-friendly line dancing classes set to country favorites, and free shoeshines to help attendees put their best boot forward.
RECURRING PROGRAMMING
Saturdays, February 7, 14 & 28 – Weekend Wellness on The Plaza
Band Sculpt: 9–9:45 a.m.
Yoga: 10–11 a.m.
Keep those 2026 goals on track with City Place’s signature Saturday fitness series. Band Sculpt builds strength and tone using supplied resistance bands, while the yoga practice provides a grounding reset for all levels. Yoga events are BYOM: bring your own mat.
Wednesdays, February 4, 11, 18 & 25 – Soccer Shots: Weekly Sessions
Mini (ages 2–3): 4:30–5:00 p.m.
Classic (ages 3–5): 5:10–5:45 p.m.
Soccer Shots returns with its skills and character-building curriculum for young athletes throughout the month. Enroll the future Dembélé or Bonmati in your family to get the proverbial ball rolling. Paid registration is required at this link.
Saturday, February 28 | Noon – 2 p.m. – Mr. Leo’s Puppet Show Bus
Join Mr. Leo’s whimsical characters as they embark on a journey filled with adventures, valuable lessons, and heartwarming moments about friendship and kindness. Enjoy a 45-minute puppet show followed by a 45-minute magic show with start times at noon and 1 p.m.

Sunday, February 8 | 1–2 p.m. – Ōra Pilates
Join Ōra Pilates for a feel-good Galentine’s mat Pilates pop-up designed for movement, connection, and a little caffeine-fueled joy. This 45-minute all-levels class blends intentional flow, core work, and mindful movement—perfect for honoring your body and celebrating friendship.
