Conroe ISD Board to interview Finalists for Interim Superintendent Role

By  |

The Conroe ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that it has received applications from twelve highly qualified candidates for the role of Interim Superintendent. After careful review and consideration, the Board has narrowed the field to four finalists, who will be interviewed during a special called meeting on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

The four finalists represent a strong mix of internal and external talent, including some of the most respected educational leaders from across the state. Each brings unique experience and a demonstrated commitment to student success, instructional excellence, and operational leadership.

This selection process comes as Dr. Curtis Null, who was recently named Lone Finalist for Superintendent of Lake Travis ISD, prepares to conclude his tenure with Conroe ISD. His final day with the district will be May 30, and the interim superintendent is expected to begin serving on June 2, 2025.

“The Board is energized by the level of interest and expertise we’ve seen from candidates,” said the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees in a joint statement. “Identifying an interim leader is the first big step in ensuring stability and maintaining our district’s positive momentum as we begin the process of selecting our next permanent superintendent. We remain committed to a thoughtful, transparent process that places the needs of our students and community first.”

More information about the appointment of the interim superintendent will be shared following the May 19 meeting.
