Conroe Symphony Orchestra announces season of pure imagination and epic sound
Get ready for a season of cinematic magic, infectious rhythms, and epic adventure as the Conroe Symphony Orchestra (CSO) launches its most spectacular season yet. The 2025-2026 lineup is packed with iconic popular music featuring a dazzling dance night with music from Tchaikovsky to the Bee Gees, a powerful tribute to the film scores of John Williams, and a milestone DISNEY IN CONCERT A Dream is a Wish, in direct collaboration with the Disney corporation. Complete with a beloved holiday pops concert and a stirring patriotic tribute for America’s 250th anniversary, the CSO’s season is a can’t-miss cultural event for all ages.
Season Highlights:

Shall We Dance: The season opens with a concert featuring dance-inspired themes and melodies to get us in the mood for dancing. “ Join us as we perform great music from Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky,” Director Gary Liebst said. “We will also have several Latin-style favorites, including El Choclo by Angel Villoldo. There will also be some familiar sounds from The Bee Gees from their blockbuster hits, which helped Saturday Night Fever become such a classic movie.” The concert will be September 27 at 4 p.m. Shall We Dance is sponsored by Apricity Foundation.

A Joyous Christmas: The annual holiday concert will feature many of your Christmas favorites, including several medleys that contain traditional seasonal favorites. Of course, the community sing-along will make great memories. “We will be performing the always popular Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano that will feature our wonderful trumpet section and the beautifully haunting arrangement by Mannheim Steamroller of Silent Night, featuring CSO principal cellist Daniela Aravelo” Liebst said. “By popular demand, we are thrilled to welcome back to the stage soprano Nancy Curtiss, who will be featured on The 12 Gifts of Christmas by JeffTyzik and Max Roger’s Maria Wiegenlied.” It will take place on December 20 at 4 p.m.

A Tribute to John Williams: The Force is calling. Are you ready? The CSO is excited to celebrate the epic sound of John Williams’ legendary music. “We will be performing jaw-dropping selections from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Superman, and more,” Liebst said. “Special feature selections will include local music educator and saxophonist Sal Jimenez performing the theme to Catch Me If You Can, and our own concert master Sheronna McMahon giving her special interpretation of the beautiful violin solo for Schindler’s List. Whether you’re a Jedi, a wizard, a superhero, or just a lover of great music, this concert is your getaway to adventure and storytelling through sound.” It will take place February 7 at 4 p.m.

DISNEY IN CONCERT A Dream is a Wish: The concert transports audiences into the musical world of classic and contemporary Disney Animated Feature films to discover that dreams really do come true. “ We are proud to present our first ever all Disney concert in direct collaboration with the Disney Corporation,” Liebst said. Join the CSO in partnership with Disney as we awaken a little mermaid who longs to be human, a lion cub who struggles to find his place in the circle of life, and two sisters who wish to warm a frozen relationship. The stories of The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Aladdin and more, are told through the talents of four Broadway-caliber singers, original Disney film footage and sweeping orchestral scores. The magic of Disney storytelling comes to life once again and reminds us anew that anything is possible, “…if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.” The concert will take place May 2 at 2:30 pm at Willis ISD Performing Arts Center. Celebrate America!: The 27th season will conclude in a spectacular season finale as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday. “Come hear the patriotic strains of Stars and Stripes Forever, God Bless America, American Salute, God Bless the USA, and the 1812 Overture,” Liebst said. The Celebrate America concert will be partially funded by the Texas Commission on the Arts. As a trusted partner of TCA, the Conroe Symphony Orchestra has been selected to represent your US Congressional district in the upcoming America250 celebration.
“I am looking forward to this season as we feature several of our own CSO musicians in our performances: Sheronna McMahon, Daniela Aravelo, and Sal Jimenez” Liebst said. “Everything has fallen in line perfectly to present an exciting group of instrumentalists and vocalists that are sure to entertain our patrons.”
