Education for Tomorrow Alliance launches 2025 Student Internship Program
Education for Tomorrow Alliance (EfTA) is partnering with nearly 80 businesses in the Montgomery County area to create internship opportunities for motivated high school students to explore career options. Through the program, EfTA acts as a liaison between the 208 high school participants and business professionals with in-person internships beginning on June 2.

Through the Student Internship Program (SIP) 12-grade students are exposed to career exploration opportunities. Student interns shadow and learn on-the-job during two-week periods in the months of June and/or July. Throughout the summer, EfTA also provides interview and certification workshops to sharpen participants’ skills that they can apply in their internships and beyond. Additional company site visits and a program reception give students additional ways to network and develop as young professionals.
EfTA has offered student internship opportunities for more than three decades. Although the organization has its roots in STEM enrichment, it has expanded to meet broad interests and the increasing demand of students. Students apply and are placed in a wide variety of business fields such as business management, healthcare, government, law, and marketing. Internship opportunities align with the National Career Clusters Framework and the Texas Education Agency’s College, Career, and Military Preparation programs. The program enables students to explore their interests and invest in their futures outside of the classroom.
EfTA is celebrating 35 years of serving Montgomery County students through educational and pre-professional programming. Education for Tomorrow Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating education and community partnerships that advance student success. With innovative programs focused on career, leadership, and STEM preparation, EfTA is the portal through which business leaders can access and strengthen local education.
