Entergy Texas powers Holiday on The Waterway in new partnership with The Woodlands Township
The Woodlands Township has named Entergy Texas the presenting sponsor of its signature holiday lights experience, Holiday on The Waterway. Beginning with the 2026-2027 season, the annual celebration will be presented as Holiday on The Waterway – Powered by Entergy, marking a new partnership focused on growing the free holiday experience and creating memorable traditions for residents and visitors.
Holiday on The Waterway transforms The Woodlands Waterway into a spectacular winter destination each year, featuring more than one million holiday lights along the scenic corridor. Running nightly from the Saturday before Thanksgiving through the first weekend of January, the free, self-guided experience invites families, friends and visitors to stroll the illuminated Waterway, capture memorable photos, enjoy seasonal entertainment and celebrate the holiday season together.
Complimentary Township trolley service provides convenient transportation throughout the district, making it easy for guests to explore the lights, entertainment and surrounding businesses.
Since its launch, Holiday on The Waterway has quickly become a popular holiday destination in The Woodlands. During the 2025-2026 season, the primary event corridor recorded more than 209,000 pathway trips, representing nearly 74% year-over-year growth. The event also generated nearly 39,000 complimentary trolley passenger trips throughout the season.
The new partnership with Entergy Texas will help the Township continue building on that momentum while keeping Holiday on The Waterway free and accessible to the community.

As presenting sponsor, Entergy Texas will also support the Township’s annual Lighting of the Doves celebration, further expanding its involvement in holiday programming in The Woodlands.
