Habitat for Humanity announces 2024 Building Hope Gala Honorees
CONROE, TX – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County’s (Habitat MCTX) annual Building Hope Gala “35 Years and Building” is Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 6:00 pm at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center.
“As Habitat MCTX celebrates our 35th year of building affordable housing in Montgomery County, we are pleased to be honoring those who have been key to our foundation and continued success including the Founding Members of Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County, TX. It was the vision of this group that brought about our organization. We are also honoring the Uber Family, in the memory of Rick Uber. Rick was a longtime volunteer whose time and dedication, along with that of his family, helped foster the volunteer experience that allows us to continue this important work. In addition to these two incredible groups, we will also honor the Can-Do Crew – Women Build Too. This dedicated group of women has been volunteering their time with us for 12 years. Six years ago, they began fundraising and building a house each year,” said Vicki Johnson, Executive Director of Habitat MCTX.
LGI Homes is the presenting sponsor of the 2024 Habitat MCTX Building Hope Gala, marking their sixth consecutive year of supporting as our presenting sponsor.

Jill Krueger and Sonya Nicholson, 2024 gala co-chairs, returned a second year to help us celebrate “35 years and building.”
The 2024 Building Hope Gala will include dinner, both live and silent auctions, a homeowner testimonial, and a “paddles up” opportunity to raise money for future Habitat homes.
