Hop, Spin, Run, Repeat: Adventures Land at City Place in April
This April, north Houston’s City Place is setting the spring mood with a slew of family-friendly programming to get everyone out of the house and into the sunshine and moonlight.
We’re kicking things off with a high-energy Easter Celebration on Saturday, April 4, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., featuring photos with the Easter Bunny, crafts, and more. If you’re looking for a mid-week vibe shift, join us on Thursday, April 9 and 23 for our new DJ on the Dock Vinyl Series. We’ve partnered with longtime Spring record destination Sound Revolution to bring you curated analog sets, a pop-up vinyl shop, and a waterfront bar—the ultimate way to unwind after work.

For those looking to move for a cause, the Autism Speaks Empower Walk and 5k takes over City Place on Saturday, April 11, celebrating community and inclusion with a morning of fitness and fun. The month then leans into nostalgia on Saturday, April 18 — grab a blanket and a spot on the grass for a starlit screening of Mamma Mia! at Pix on The Plaza. Whether you’re a dancing queen (or king) or just here for the island vibes, ABBA sing-alongs are highly encouraged.
City Place continues its commitment to world-class public art with the debut of Arc ZERO, from acclaimed Australian artist James Tapscott, running now through August 2. The installation features two ethereal, interactive rings of light and mist—Eclipse and Nimbus—positioned on and along the pond system at City Place Park. Curated by Weingarten Art Group, these immersive works transform the elements of water and air into a luminous dialogue between nature and engineering.
All programming takes place on and around The Plaza at 1250 Lake Plaza Drive and is complimentary unless otherwise noted. For updates and details, visit cityplacenow.com or follow along on Instagram @CityPlaceNow.
