Each year, the gala honors those dedicated to making an impact within the community – and this year’s celebration was an extra-special moment for Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, reminding the community of its commitment to providing unparalleled care. Since opening its doors in 2017, the hospital has cared for more than two million patients, earned a five-star CMS rating, Magnet® designation for nursing excellence and national recognition from U.S. News & World Report and Vizient as one of the top hospitals in Texas and the nation.

But the hospital’s greatest show of “love thy neighbor” extends beyond clinical excellence. Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital has invested more than $750 million in charity care and community benefits across Montgomery County, demonstrating a deep commitment to improving the health and well-being of all residents. This includes support of the Interfaith Community Clinic, helping ensure that underserved patients receive the compassionate care they deserve.

“It is an incredible honor for Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital to be named a 2026 Hometown Hero by Interfaith of The Woodlands,” David Bernard, CEO of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital and senior vice president of Houston Methodist said. “This recognition belongs to every member of our team for going above and beyond to serve our patients and our community with integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.
