Ice Skating Rink in The Woodlands opens November 20

Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy skating at The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center, opening Friday, November 20, 2020, at 3 p.m., and open daily through Monday, January 18, 2021, for wintry fun with sophisticated reservation and safety protocols.

The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center is located at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, 77380, adjacent to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The 21,000-square-foot permanent multipurpose facility features ice skating in a main room with lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, tables and concessions.

“We’re excited to continue the great tradition of ice skating during the late fall, holidays and winter months,” said Township Chairman Gordy Bunch. “Our staff has put a lot of effort into planning a safe experience and implemented a new reservation system to make it easy and safe to purchase tickets.” Purchase your ticket here, or visit


Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m., Friday from 3 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. The Ice Rink is open during special holiday hours on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and school holidays (based on the Conroe ISD calendar).

Admission for a two-hour skate session ranges from $12.50 to $17.50. Children 5 and under are $6. All prices include skate rental. Helmet and walker (children’s skate trainer) rentals are also available for an additional cost. Observer-only fees range from free to $2.

Please note, Ice Rink operations have been modified to accommodate more stringent cleaning procedures, provide social distancing for guests in accordance with CDC guidelines and comply with local orders regarding building capacity. All visitors will be screened prior to entry and temperature checked. Masks are required for entry but may be removed when skating.

Ice Rink guests should practice social distancing, refrain from gathering in large groups and continue following all guidelines established by the CDC when in public spaces and around others outside of your household. Please note all Township events and programs are subject to cancellation pending local, state and federal Orders or Declarations.
