Local Veteran’s Day Events

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – On Veteran’s Day, Wednesday, November 11, local ceremonies will be held for the community to commemorate and pay tribute to our veterans. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines and check event websites for updates.

The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute will feature a presentation of colors, musical performances, swearing in ceremony for future soldiers, and host keynote speaker Lieutenant Colonel Barry Winnegan.

A special military Care Package Drop-Off Booth with be set up during the Veterans Day Tribute to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops. Those planning to attend the event should practice social distancing, refrain from gathering in large groups and continue following all guidelines established by the CDC when in public spaces and around others outside of your household. In Conroe, VFW Post 4709 will commemorate Veteran’s Day at the Montgomery County Veteran’s Memorial Park and the event will celebrate the opening of the new bridge. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m.
