Memorial Hermann Auxiliary honors Junior Volunteers with over $30K in Scholarships
Each year, the Auxiliary at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center awards its graduating Junior Volunteers with a banquet and college scholarships. This year, a total of $30,500 was awarded to 18 graduating high school seniors, each who served in the hospital’s Junior Volunteer Program since the end of their sophomore year.
The scholarships ranged from $1,000 to $4,000 each, with funding raised through the hospital’s Gift Shop sales and other Auxiliary-sponsored events on the campus. The graduating students represent the following public and private high schools:
- Academy of Engineering and Science at Oak Ridge High School
- College Park High School
- Concordia Lutheran High School
- Klein High School
- John Cooper School
- Magnolia High School
- The Woodlands High School
- Tomball High School
