Memorial Hermann celebrates Heart Month with ‘Smooch the Pooch’ and Valentine’s Sales
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center has it’s very own Facility Dog named Kinson. He and his handler, Ashley Halland, LCSW, started the program to work with patients back in August 2023. In honor of Valentine’s Day and National Heart Month, Kinson was the headline at the annual “Smooch the Pooch” interactive photo booth and cuddle session. Hospital employees, affiliated physicians and visitors alike were welcome to drop by a fun-filled booth for a meet and greet along with a chance to relieve any stress.

Also nearby, employee-run Partners in Caring was hosting its annual series of Valentine’s balloon and gift sales to raise money for the Employee Assistance Fund. And, as always, its volunteer-run Gift Shop, is ever ready to provide go-to items for patients and for any occasion. Did you know? Purchases in the Gift Shop at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands also benefit the annual Junior Volunteer Scholarship Fund and the Hospital Wish List.
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands is all heart when it comes to its employees, volunteers, patients, affiliated medical staff and visitors. They are proud to provide interactive opportunities for staff and visitors, from pop-up educational events and special community performances to the variety of offerings in their gift shop and the opportunity to unwind in the Healing Garden, Wolf Park & Playground or on the South Tower terrace.
