Memorial Hermann Goes Red for Heart Disease on National Wear Red Day

By  |

February is American Heart Month. Heart Disease can happen to anyone. National Wear Red Day was created to raise awareness of the risk of heart disease and stroke in women. Memorial Hermann is proud to support this national initiative and encouraged its employees to wear red on Friday, February 6, to take charge of their heart health.

Pictured are some of the staff members who wore red at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center.

Did you know? According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing one in three deaths each year. Cardiovascular diseases do not affect all women alike, and the warning signs for women are different than for men.
