Montgomery County Food Bank and Oxy partner to expand Hunger Relief with New Food Bank Truck
Montgomery County Food Bank is proud to announce a new partnership with Oxy, whose generous sponsorship has made possible the purchase and operation of a new 36’ Semi Truck. This addition to the Food Bank’s fleet will significantly expand outreach and delivery capacity, helping to provide more meals to children, families, and seniors facing hunger across Montgomery County.
“With the launch of our Oxy-branded food truck and our continued partnership with Montgomery County Food Bank, we’re hitting the road to end hunger and reach more people to deliver meals and have a bigger impact,” said Samantha Lombardo, Director of Community Relations & Employee Engagement at Oxy.More than 40 Oxy team members joined Montgomery County Food Bank on Tuesday, September 22nd, for the unveiling of the new truck and spent the day volunteering as part of Hunger Action Month- sorting and packing meals that will soon be delivered across the county. The truck will play a vital role in distributing this much-needed food, with nearly 9 million meals served by Montgomery County Food Bank last year.

“We are incredibly grateful for Oxy’s partnership and their investment in our mission of uniting the community to fight hunger,” said Kristine Marlow, President & CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank. “This new truck not only represents a tool for greater efficiency but also a symbol of compassion on wheels—bringing hope and nourishment directly to the neighbors who need it most.”

This project is part of Montgomery County Food Bank’s larger “Fueling Food for All” initiative, which is modernizing the Food Bank’s fleet to expand community impact through increased food distribution, while highlighting organizations that are committed to the fight against hunger. Through this partnership, Oxy underscores its ongoing dedication to making a lasting difference in the community and empowering Montgomery County Food Bank to serve more people, more effectively.
