Montgomery County’s 2025 Labor Day DWI Enforcement Initiative Results
Montgomery County law enforcement made 60 DWI arrests during the 2025 Labor Day DWI Enforcement Initiative, including 4 felony cases. Each arrest represents lives protected and a tragedy prevented as part of a countywide Task Force that demonstrated the power of teamwork, dedication, and a shared commitment to public safety.
Law enforcement worked around the clock, ensuring that those who chose to drive under the influence were identified and stopped before tragedy could occur. The initiative included two fully staffed No Refusal processing sites to provide rapid warrant support and blood draws. These resources allowed officers in the field to stay focused on enforcement while streamlining the arrest process.
We extend our sincere thanks to our partner agencies for their commitment and collaboration, including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Conroe Police Department, Montgomery County Constable’s Offices Precinct 1, Precinct 2, Precinct 3, Precinct 4, and Precinct 5, Magnolia Police Department, Oak Ridge North Police Department, Roman Forest Police Department, Splendora Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Game Wardens. Their joint participation underscores a united front against impaired driving and highlights the ongoing dedication of our law enforcement to community safety.
We also thank the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy Alumni Association and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for continuing to stand beside law enforcement in this critical mission.
District Attorney Brett Ligon emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “Every warrant signed, every blood draw completed, and every impaired driver arrested sends a clear message: in Montgomery County, impaired driving will not be tolerated.”
Chief Prosecutor Taylor Vanegas stated, “These DWI task force operations are about prevention, protection, and prosecution. Preventing people from driving while intoxicated to begin with, protecting everyone on our roadways, and then effectively prosecuting those who choose to put others at risk.”
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office remains committed to working with our law enforcement partners year-round to ensure that impaired drivers are held accountable and that Montgomery County families can travel safely, on holidays and every day in between.
