By  |

On May 30, 2025 at approximately 11:40 pm, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a white late model Jaguar in South Montgomery County. During the traffic stop, the driver of the Jaguar, a 53 year old white male, fled the scene and a second Deputy engaged in a pursuit, assisted by Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Officers with the Shenandoah Police Department deployed tire deflation devices, which led to the driver stopping on the on-ramp to FM 1488. The suspect exited the vehicle with a firearm, and the deputy fired multiple shots, striking the suspect. Additional units arrived on scene and provided emergency medical treatment to the suspect, who was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.

An investigation into this incident is being conducted by the MCSO Major Crimes Unit, MCSO Crime Scene, Montgomery County DA’s Office, and the Texas Rangers.
