School districts to distribute free meals to students

Due to school district closures throughout Montgomery County during the week of March 16 through March 20, 2020, the following districts will be distributing free meals to students as of Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Conroe ISD will be distributing free meals to students on Tuesday, March 17, and Thursday, March 19. Students may pick up meals from 10 AM – 1 PM or as long as they last. Meals will be distributed curbside at the front of Austin Elementary, Caney Creek High School, Conroe High School, Grand Oaks High School, Hauke High School, Knox Junior High, Oak Ridge High School, The Woodlands College Park High School, The Woodlands High School, and Washington Junior High.

Magnolia ISD will provide FREE meals starting on Tuesday. Families will be able to drive through for curbside pick up at two of our elementary school locations. Locations: Magnolia Elementary School (west side) and Smith Elementary School (east side) When: Tuesday, March 17th – Friday, March 20th Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM 

1. Cars will pull up to the back of the school and form a car rider line. This line will form at the back of the school where the buses normally drop off students. Please remain in your car and an employee will deliver the food to your car.
2. All children 18 or under will eat free and children need to be present in the car.
3. Each child will receive one breakfast and one lunch in a to-go bag or box.

Spring ISD will offer free curbside, take-home meals next week, starting March 16. Families will be able to pick up their meals at select Spring ISD campuses between 8:00 and 11:00 AM. More info to come over the next few days!

Tomball ISD will offer a free curbside meal service for all Tomball ISD students from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17 or Wednesday, March 18 at Tomball High School’s front entrance.To limit exposure risk, we will provide meals for the week and families are asked to come one of the two days for their meals.Please provide your student’s ID# upon pick-up. If you do not know your student’s ID#, we will assist you.

New Caney ISD Child Nutrition Services will be providing curbside meal service March 16-20 at New Caney Elementary School and Sorters Mill Elementary School. Breakfast service will run from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no charge for children 18 and under. Adult meals are $4.
