Schools closed January 21 and 22 across Montgomery County
The following schools and school district campuses are closed on Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Conroe ISD: “Due to the impending inclement weather and potentially hazardous road conditions, Conroe ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22. The Board Meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday night will take place Thursday, January 23, at 10 AM. Stay safe and warm!”
The John Cooper School: “The John Cooper School will be closed on Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22 due to inclement weather and potentially hazardous road conditions around our campus and in the area. Divisions will share updates about our return to school later this week.”
Magnolia ISD: “Due to the inclement weather forecast, Magnolia ISD will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, and Wednesday, Jan. 22. The district will also be closed on Monday in observance of MLK Day.”
Montgomery ISD: “Based on the latest updates and forecasts, which predict snowfall, freezing rain, and below-freezing temperatures into Wednesday morning, it has been determined that roads will not be safe for travel on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025. As a result, Montgomery ISD will be closed for students and staff on BOTH days. The district is scheduled to re-open on Thursday, January 23. Any changes to Thursday’s schedule will be communicated promptly. For updates on after-school extracurricular activities, please reach out to your coach or activity sponsor.”
Tomball ISD: “Tomball ISD schools and offices will be closed Monday, January 20 for MLK Day and Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22 in anticipation of an unprecedented winter weather event that will severely impact transportation. All decisions are being made with the safety of our students, staff, and families in mind. Normal operations are expected to resume on Thursday, January 23. Stay safe & warm.”
Willis ISD: “Willis ISD schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 21 and 22, due to the pending winter storm. There will be no school activities on Tuesday or Wednesday. We will provide an update again on Wednesday afternoon to establish the plan for a return to school on Thursday. (Just a reminder, tomorrow is our previously scheduled MLK Holiday). Stay tuned to our District’s social media accounts, website, and news stations for important updates. Experts recommend completing cold weather preparations today. The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management is a good resource for official local information. Stay warm, Wildkats!”
The Woodlands Christian Academy: “Due to impending inclement weather, The Woodlands Christian Academy will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Further updates will be communicated as necessary.”
The Woodlands Methodist School: “The Woodlands Methodist School is closed January 21st & 22nd due to severe weather and potentially hazardous roads. Stay safe and warm!”
