Search Warrant executed to investigate Priest charged with Indecency with a Child

Today, on November 28, 2018, the Conroe Police Department, Texas Rangers, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and other agencies executed a search warrant at The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston at 1700 San Jacinto, Houston, Texas.  This search warrant is the fourth search warrant executed in the joint law enforcement investigation of Father Manual LaRosa-Lopez, a catholic priest who has already been charged with four felony counts of Indecency with a Child in Montgomery County, Texas.  The primary purpose of this law enforcement search warrant today is to gather documents, records, electronics, and other evidence in the investigation of LaRosa-Lopez.

LaRosa-Lopez was charged in Montgomery County on September 10, 2018.  He was booked into the Montgomery County jail on September 11, 2018, and was released on September 13, 2018, after making at $375,000.00 bond.  The four felony cases are pending in the 435th District Court in Conroe, Texas.  His next scheduled court date is January 10, 2018 at 1:30pm.  Law enforcement agencies previously executed search warrants at the St. John Fisher Catholic Church (Richmond, Texas) on September 12, 2018; Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Conroe, Texas) on September 17, 2018; and the Shalom Treatment Center (Splendora, Texas) on September 19, 2018.
