Sheriff’s Office Deputy catches Construction Site Thieves

By  |

SPRING, TX – On June 24, 2018 at around 10 p.m. a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was conducting proactive patrols when an “ATL” (Attempt To Locate) call was aired by Dispatch in the area of Grand Parkway and Birnham Woods Dr in Spring, Texas. A citizen observed a truck and trailer driving through the neighborhood with their lights off, and noted the truck sped away when he approached so he did the right thing and called the police.

A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy soon located the truck and initiated a traffic stop. During his investigation, the Deputy was able to locate a witness who observed the males in the truck as they loaded lumber from newly built homes in the Imperial Oaks Subdivision. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were called to the scene and are continuing the investigation (MCSO Case #18A169982.)

Both males were arrested for theft charges (Misdemeanor A) and placed in the Montgomery County Jail.
