St. Luke’s Health Launches Search for “Chief Humankindness Officer” in Houston
HOUSTON, TX – St. Luke’s Health is on the search for a “Chief Humankindness Officer,” an honorary title created for a local child to help the organization demonstrate what humankindness looks like in action, and spread verbal encouragement and kindness throughout the Houston community, and beyond.
The Chief Humankindness Officer search will be conducted on Saturday, May 21, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Silver Street Studios at Sawyer Yards during a one-time-only open casting call for children ages 5-12 who live in the greater Houston area of Texas – no previous performance experience is required. Participants will be asked to deliver 30 seconds of their best original words of motivational encouragement and positivity, and share what humankindness means to them, as well as how they show it through interactions with others. Participants will be judged on creativity, originality, likability and their perspective on humankindness.
The search, and new Chief Humankindness Officer role, brings to life St. Luke’s Health’s Hello humankindness movement, which supports the philosophy that while medicine has the ability to cure, shared humanity and human connection has the power to heal – body, mind and spirit.
After the casting call search, one child will be offered the opportunity to serve as Chief Humankindness Officer, and may be selected for an upcoming St. Luke’s marketing effort. The winner will also have a chance to connect with a casting director from Upward Artistry, a local talent agency in Houston, to hone their performance skills during a one-on-one session.
