Sunny Dayz, specialty camps offer summer fun for kids

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Summer is here and The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation offers a variety of programs and camps for kids to enjoy while school is out. Make the most out of this season by signing up today at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/signupforfun.

Sunny Dayz Day Camps are in full swing at two locations: The Recreation Center at Bear Branch Park, 5310 Research Forest Drive, and The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive. Both camps are full day, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., for ages 6 to 12. Camps include a variety of fun daily crafts, games, activities, special guests, exciting field trips and much more. Teen Camp is also underway for campers ages 13 to 15 at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park. Encourage your teen to disconnect from the digital media and experience hands-on fun with visits to Texas TreeVentures adventure course, archery, kayaking, field trips and more. The Township Parks and Recreation Department also offers a variety of specialty camps, including engineering, robotics, technology and science camps for kids with an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Soccer, baseball, golf and outdoor survival camps are available for kids who enjoy the great outdoors. Art and cooking camps are open for those looking to use their creative sides.
