The John Cooper School Bohemian Dragon Gala in The Woodlands

By  |

The John Cooper School hosted a “Rhythm Infused” Gala on March 5, 2022, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, following their annual 10-day online auction. This year’s Bohemian Dragon, Revelry and Rhapsody Gala event included cocktails, big board and live auctions, dinner, live music, and dancing. Sponsorships and individual tickets for the event went to benefit the students and faculty of The John Cooper School.

The event offered guests flower crowns, fedoras, jewel decorations, and even a Boho photobooth experience with Birdie the Volkswagen Bus! Entertainment was provided by The John Cooper School aerialists and live music played on three different stages throughout the evening.

But the real highlight of the evening was honoring Mr. Mike Maher, Head of School, whom will retire this year after twenty-two years of leadership. “He has been a paramount to the successes the school has seen since 2000, and leaves us on a high note, with great expectations for the future of the school,” shared Gala Co-Chairs Louise Blanchard, Amy Hadra, and Jennifer Ruckman.
