The Woodlands Diversion presents opportunity for Local Student Musicians and Poets
In celebration of National Poetry Month this April, The Woodlands Diversion invites student musicians and poets, ages 5 to 18, from The Woodlands and surrounding areas to audition for its Music & Poetry Performance. The event will be held on April 12, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the Recital Hall (Building H) at Lone Star College Montgomery.
The performance will highlight student musicians across various instruments and voices, alongside poetry readings by young poets. This unique event promises a beautiful blend of sound and verse, offering a platform for the artistic expressions of the next generation.
SUBMISSIONS:
Student musicians (ages 5-18) are invited to submit video auditions to participate in the event. Submissions are due by March 20, 2025. Solo and group performances (2-6 musicians) are welcome. Student poets (ages 5-18) are invited to submit their original poems, which should be no longer than 3.5 minutes when recited. Submissions are due by March 20, 2025.
