The Woodlands Fire Department responds to commercial structure fire at the Sawdust Retail Center

At 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 17, The Woodlands Fire Department Truck 101, Engine 103, and Battalion 101 were dispatched to provide assistance to the South Montgomery County Fire Department in responding to a commercial structure fire at the Sawdust Retail Center, located at 202 Sawdust Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a fire on the roof of the strip center. Preliminary indications suggest that the fire was ignited after power lines in the alley were struck by a passing vehicle. Once the building was de-energized firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
