The Woodlands Methodist School Art Teacher honored in “Lessons in Expression” Exhibit
The Woodlands Arts Council recently opened its newest exhibition, Lessons in Expression, a showcase celebrating the creativity of local art educators. Among the 20 featured artists is Jessica Baust, art teacher at The Woodlands Methodist School. Her work is now on display alongside other talented educators from across the community, reflecting both her artistry and her commitment to inspiring young students.
The exhibit highlights the unique role of educators who not only teach but also practice their craft. By sharing their own creative work, these teachers demonstrate to students that artistic expression is a lifelong pursuit—enriching both the classroom and the broader arts community.
Baust’s inclusion in this exhibition is a meaningful recognition of the passion and excellence she brings to The Woodlands Methodist School’s arts program. Her artistic vision reflects the same care, creativity, and inspiration she shares with her students each day, helping them grow in confidence and in their appreciation of the arts.

The Woodlands Methodist School serves students in Pre-K through 8th grade, providing a joyful, Christ-centered education where children develop a lifelong love of learning, pursue excellence, and are encouraged to positively impact the world. With low student-to-teacher ratios and classrooms filled with hands-on learning, students receive a dynamic, individualized education that meets their needs at every developmental stage.
As an outreach ministry of The Woodlands Methodist Church, the school is grounded in Christian values and a mission to reach people for Jesus Christ, disciple them in faith, and serve those in need. Students of all faith backgrounds are welcome in this nurturing environment, where everyday experiences are guided by biblical principles.
