This new effort builds on the Township’s ongoing success in athletic recycling. In 2025, The Woodlands Township earned the Green Ball Award after surpassing 10,000 recycled tennis balls, underscoring the impact of its tennis and pickleball programs in promoting environmentally responsible recreation throughout the community.

Pickleball players are encouraged to recycle used pickleballs at the following locations:

Please note that pickleballs can only be recycled through the special collection bins located at these parks. Pickleballs are not accepted in curbside recycling carts. Through this new pickleball recycling program, used pickleballs collected from designated locations will be shipped to P3 Cares, where they will be repurposed to support community and charitable initiatives.
