The Woodlands Township to host Glow and Go 5K on The Woodlands Waterway
The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department will host the annual Glow and Go 5K on Saturday, December 7, 2024, starting at 6 p.m. along The Woodlands Waterway, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380. This USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event offers a professionally chip-timed 5K route through the Waterway, perfect for runners seeking a fun, scenic evening race. Participants are encouraged to showcase their holiday spirit by dressing in their best glow-themed costumes!
The Glow and Go 5K welcomes runners ages 10 and up, and the course promises a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. After the race, participants aged 21 and older can head to E’terie Bar & Grill at Embassy Suites in Hughes Landing for a glow-themed after-party.
Registration and Packet Details
Online registration for the Glow and Go 5K is still open, but spots are filling up quickly! Participation is limited to 600 runners. The entry fee is $35 and includes a finisher medal and participant packet. Please note that registration closes prior to race day, and no on-site registration will be available. Refunds of entry fees (excluding processing fees) are available through November 22, 2024.
Participants can pick up their packets at The Woodlands Township Townhall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., on Thursday, December 5, and Friday, December 6, from noon to 6 p.m.
Race Day Parking
Participant parking is available at the Town Center Parking Garage and Gold Lot located at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive. Participants can access the Waterway and start/finish line area from the pathway on the south side of the parking garage. Additional parking is available in the green, orange, yellow, blue and white lots at 2002 Timberloch Place. Parking is free.
Make It a Weekend Getaway
Runners can extend the fun with a stay at The Westin at The Woodlands, within walking distance of the race. Special room rates are available for Glow and Go 5K participants, making it an ideal weekend getaway.
Awards and Recognition
Awards will be presented at the finish line to top male and female finishers, overall masters winners, and age group winners. A photo area will be available for participants to capture their race-day memories. Event photos can be viewed and purchased online at www.raceshots.net within two to three days post-event. Race results will be available by 8 a.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
