The Woodlands UMC to host Virtual Vacation Bible School
Are you looking for a Vacation Bible School option for your children this summer? Mark your calendars for June 8 – 11 and plan for a week of online fun at home. The Woodlands United Methodist church is providing virtual VBS programming for preschoolers – 4h grade combined with 56 Day Camp for 5th and 6th graders.
Children’s Ministry leaders are creating an engaging and dynamic online worship experience coupled with “fun for kids, easy for parents” age-level activities that correspond to the daily lessons. Their mission is to help kids uncover the truths about our Creator God with a Mystery Island experience.
A 30 minute online worship experience will be posted each day that will include get up and move music, silly games and skits, and solid Bible teaching. There also will be fun, easy activities for families to follow each day. The craft options will be age appropriate for children from preschool – 4th grade, and science and cooking activities for 5th – 6th grade kids.
A Missions project will also be a huge part of the program. They will be collecting school supplies for Sam Houston Elementary and other schools and organizations in our area. Families will be able to participate using the published Amazon Wish List.
All those who register will receive a Summer Fun Pack that will include an event t-shirt, all the items needed for each daily activity and other fun summer survival treats. All registered families can pick up their Summer Fun Pack the week before VBS and 56 Day Camp at the Summer Fun Carpool Pep Rally.
With online registration, Vacation Bible School will be able to connect with children and families through their “Community Connection Team.” Their 5th and 6th grade team will have additional Zoom Bible small group calls as well.
The Woodlands United Methodist Church looks forward to hosting a fun and creative way to continue to teach children about the love of Jesus during this time of social distancing. The cost of the virtual VBS and 56 Day Camp experience is $35.00 and the deadline to register is Thursday, May 7.
