December 2024 – Classes and Programs at Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center – Canopy is a cancer survivorship on the campus of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Canopy is open to men and women, no matter where you were treated, and for any kind of cancer – at no cost to you. If your life has been impacted, whether you were the patient or the caregiver, you have a safe haven at Canopy. December is full with programs and classes at Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center! December 5, 2024 – Holly Jolly Jingle – While Christmas comes but once a year, a live performance like Holly Jolly Jingle can make the whole season feel bright. This annual tradition is inspiring on so many levels: Hearing beloved holiday music performed live makes the spirit soar with nostalgic wonder. Adding your own voice to the tune instills a sense of community all too often forgotten. And knowing that all of the music is performed by student musicians from Conroe ISD is sure to give hope for the future. It’s the only show as magical as Christmas morning itself – don’t miss it! December 5, 2024 – Holiday Benefit Concert – You are invited to attend Lone Star College-Montgomery Music and Dance Department’s annual Holiday Benefit Concert on Thursday, December 5 at 7:00pm in the Mainstage Theatre (D100). All proceeds will benefit the charity, Sleep in Heavenly Peace. This concert will showcase the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers conducted by Dr. Mark Marotto, the Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble directed by Reese Burgan, the Creekside Civic Orchestra directed by Dr. Jackson Guillen, and the Dance Department choreographed by Ashley Clos. December 6, 2024 – 20th Annual Signatures Author Series – The John Cooper School’s 20th Anniversary Signatures Author Series will be held on Friday, December 6 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. The John Cooper School Signatures Author Series luncheon is a highly anticipated annual event benefiting The Fine Arts Council of the school. This community event includes Visiting Authors book sales and signings, a fabulous luncheon, a book signing with the keynote author, a Signatures-themed drawing, and a private VIP reception for key sponsors. December 8, 2024 – Christmas Fest – Come enjoy fun for the whole family at Christmas Fest! Join us on Sunday, December 8, at 4:00 p.m. on the Fairway and Robb Plaza at The Woodlands Methodist Church. With rides, live music, crafts, food and more, Christmas Fest offers something for everyone! Invite your family, friends and neighbors to this free event as we kick off the Christmas season together. December 14, 2024 – National Wreaths Across America Day Ceremony – Donate a fresh evergreen wreath in honor of a veteran! Forest Park – The Woodlands and Wreaths Across America are remembering veterans with a special ceremony and wreath placements on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. Wreaths Across America will be at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud. Sponsor a wreath here.

November 1 – December 31, 2024 – Holiday Helpings Food and Funds Drive – Montgomery County Food Bank’s annual holiday food and funds drive, Holiday Helpings, is running from November 1 to December 31. November 16, 2024 – January 20, 2025 – The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center is now open to the public. November 22, 2024 – January 4, 2025 – Festival of Lights  Experience the joy of the season with your family at The Festival of Lights at Woodlands Church. This outdoor holiday experience includes a walkthrough light display show, music, and a family-friendly experience for all ages. Tickets to the new Festival of Lights Christmas Path range from $10-$20 for ages 5 and above. December 1, 2024 –The Woodlands Cars & Coffee for a Cause – The Woodlands Car Club car enthusiasts gather at Market Street the first Sunday of each month from 6:30-10:00 a.m. to provide a fun and creative way to give back to our community. All types of cars/vehicles from classics, hot rods, exotics, and more are welcome. The Woodlands Car Club shares information about needful non-profit organizations in Montgomery County, and gives back through donations to the Market Street “Change for Charities” program. December 1, 2024 – City Place Tree Lighting – City Place’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration returns to the upper and lower plazas on Sunday, December 1 from 3-7 pm. Open to the public and free of charge, the lively event serves as a countdown to the illumination of the shimmering – and floating – 35-foot Christmas landmark rising from the City Place Park’s main pond. Santa will make an appearance at the festivities, which also include a curated holiday market and a variety of family-friendly activations such as face painters, balloon twisters, a letters to Santa station, and a kid’s ornament craft area sponsored by Harmony Schools. To add to the holiday magic, a play area with real snow will be featured in the Upper Plaza, along with a hot chocolate bar and a DJ who will help spread holiday cheer with festive remixes. Learn More

December 3, 2024 – Christmas on Main – The Downtown Merchants with the Conroe Downtown Area Association is preparing for the 8th Annual Christmas on Main to take place after the Annual Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 3rd from 6:30pm until 9:30pm throughout the streets of Main, Simonton, and Metcalf and N Thompson. Founder’s Plaza will be the center of music by the Jazz Connection starting promptly at 7 p.m. and will also serve as the drop off for tickets to win bicycles that night. Learn More

December 6, 2024 – Deck the Pines – Pine Market will be ring, ting, tingling and jingling, 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 6, when Deck the Pines returns to Woodforest. The free event at 791 Fish Creek Thoroughfare will kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting at 7 p.m., live nativity animals, DJ Chico, rides, face painting, balloon artists and more. December 7, 2024 – Glow and Go 5K – Glow and Go 5K (Holiday Edition) will take place on Saturday, December 7, along The Woodlands Waterway beginning at 6 p.m. Glow and Go 5K is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and is a USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event. The chip-timed 5K course will incorporate the full length of the Waterway, providing a scenic route and fun, enjoyable atmosphere fostering friendly competition. The 5K race is open to runners of all abilities and recommended for participants ages 10 and older. Runners are encouraged to dress in their best holiday attire and glow! Registration fee of $35 includes finisher medal and participant packet. Learn more

December 14, 2024 – Toby Powell Conroe Christmas Celebration – Make plans to bring the family to Heritage Park in downtown Conroe for the Toby Powell Conroe Christmas Celebration. This free annual event will have photos with Santa, vendor booths, inflatables, fun booths, concessions, and stage performances. The event runs from 11:00am – 4:00pm.
