November 4, 2025 – February 5, 2026 – “Winter in The Woodlands” Photography Exhibit – The Woodlands Arts Council’s newest exhibition, “Winter in The Woodlands,” is a photography showcase featuring finalists from the community contest. The exhibition celebrates the creative vision of local photographers who captured and preserved the surprising winters with snow in The Woodlands. January 2–31, 2026 – Coach Deon January Basketball Classes & Leagues – Start the new year with structure, confidence, and development. Coach Deon’s January programs give young players a system that turns their passion for basketball into real improvement. January 4, 2026 – The Woodlands Cars & Coffee for a Cause – The Woodlands Car Club car enthusiasts gather at Market Street the first Sunday of each month from 6-10 a.m. to provide a fun and creative way to give back to our community. All types of cars/vehicles from classics, hot rods, exotics, and more are welcome. January 16 – February 28, 2026 – SCI://TECH – SCI://TECH is a collaborative initiative between Education for Tomorrow Alliance, Conroe ISD, The John Cooper School, and other area private schools that encourages scientific curiosity and exploration. The 2026 SCI://TECH Exposition will engage approximately 4,000 K–12 students in 12 science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) competitions and events held over multiple weekends from mid-January to the end of February. SCI://TECH highlights include the Chevron Phillips Chemical Senior High and Entergy Junior High Science Fairs, scheduled for January 22, with nearly 500+ students registered to participate. January 24, 2026 – Creekside Park Winter Festival and Chili Cookoff – Celebrate the season at the annual Creekside Park Winter Festival and Chili Cookoff on January 24, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Rob Fleming Park. This free, family-friendly event offers activities for all ages, including vendor shopping, live DJ music, inflatables, a snow hill, door prize raffles and plenty of chili tasting from the Cookoff teams. January 31, 2026 – 50th Arbor Day Tree Giveaway – Join The Woodlands Township for this FREE event for The Woodlands residents! Since 1977 more than 1.5 million seedlings have been shared with residents to plant in their yard, in community open space reserves and in forest preserves.
