Traffic Alert for Nov. 6: Woodlands Parkway-Branch Crossing Drive Intersection
The Office of Montgomery County Pct. 3 Commissioner Ritch Wheeler shared the following traffic alert for upcoming improvements at the Woodlands Parkway-Branch Crossing Drive Intersection this Thursday, November 6, 2025.
TRAFFIC ALERT: Upcoming Intersection Improvements, Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Where: Woodlands Parkway-Branch Crossing Drive Intersection
What:
1. Extending left-turn lane from southbound Branch Crossing onto eastbound Woodlands Parkway (first project)
2. Extending left-turn lane from westbound Woodlands Parkway onto southbound Branch Crossing Drive (second project)
When: First project starts Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025
Impact: Daily lane closures on Branch Crossing Drive north of Woodlands Parkway and some traffic impact in both directions of Branch Crossing.
Duration: Each project is scheduled to take approximately three weeks, weather permitting.
Scheduling Notes:
- Projects were listed on the May 2025 Road Bond Referendum approved by voters.
- First round of road bond funding for projects became available in August.
- Four intersection improvement projects have been completed in the first couple of months.
- Several asphalt shoulder replacement projects have been completed.
- A dozen asphalt road replacement projects have started or will start over the next several weeks.
- Several more intersection improvement project are in the design phase or utility relocation phase.
- Major projects, such as 99 eastbound frontage road improvements, Robinson Road widening, Sawdust Bridge replacement and Grand Parkway right-turn lane projects, are in design phase.
