100 Deadliest Days of Summer ends, 1K arrested

The “100 Deadliest Days of Summer”, starting Memorial Day Weekend and ending Labor Day Weekend, recently ended and law enforcement throughout Montgomery County worked to keep Lake Conroe and our roadways safe by increasing Driving While Intoxicated and Boating While Intoxicated Enforcement with the assistance of the MCDAO No Refusal Program. Those enforcement efforts throughout the summer resulted in the following arrest statistics for arrest during No Refusal Operation and outside of No Refusal Operations:

DWI arrests:   942           Blood Warrants Issued:   298
BWI Arrests:   26            Voluntary Breath Tests:  158
Voluntary Blood Tests:   413

On those total arrests, they break down as follows:

BWI 1st offense: 22           DWI with a Child:         27
BWI 2nd:               4           DWI 3rd or more:          97
BWI 3rd or more: 0           Intoxication Assault:      1
DWI 1st offense: 652         Intoxication Manslaughter:  1
DWI 2nd:   164

Of those total arrests, the below were done during No Refusal Operations:

BWI 1st offense:    14           Blood Warrants issued: 163
BWI 2nd:                 3            Voluntary Breath Tests:  66
DWI 1st offense: 257           Voluntary Blood Tests:  170
DWI 2nd:                69
DWI with a Child: 16
DWI 3rd or more:  43
Intoxication Assault:  1
Intoxication Manslaughter: 0

One intoxication manslaughter charge and one intoxication assault charge were filed during this time. On August 21, 2018, Kristina Hardin was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter resulting from an auto-pedestrian crash that occurred around 2:45 pm on SH 105. On August 11, 2018, Janie Jackson was arrested for Intoxication Assault resulting from a crash that occurred around 4:15 pm that day on the US 59 Feeder road.
